Cathy graduated from the University of Idaho with a bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy, master’s degree in counseling and Ph.D with a major in counseling and minor in psychology. She pursues specialized training in a variety of mental health and substance abuse issues on an ongoing basis. Cathy provides counseling for a wide range of issues including substance abuse, mental health issues including mood disorders, chronic mental illness, adjustment issues, trauma, grief and issues related to both substance abuse and mental health. Cathy has been a counselor for 23 years and has developed a wide range of techniques to help clients deal with difficult life issues. She has a strong belief that human beings have the capacity to change under the right circumstances and with support and guidance. Cathy also teaches psychology classes at the University of Idaho. In her spare time Cathy enjoys family time, reading and any excuse to be outside.
Gary graduated from the University Of Idaho in 1991. He provides individual and couples counseling to help promote emotional and relational health. He is experienced in working with those who have mild to severe mental illness disorders, and those with substance abuse issues. He is very empathic, respecting the uniqueness and dignity of each individual. He believes we all have a need to be heard and understood. His goal in counseling is to listen, support and provide useful input to help facilitate a person's growth and wellness. Gary is a husband and father of 3, residing on the Palouse since 1985.
Janice earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Chemical Addictions from the University of Idaho. She provides Substance Abuse Case Management, recognizing the personal strengths, weaknesses, goals, and needs of the individual. She is a caring and dedicated advocate for her clients, and very competent at connecting clients with resources they need in the community. In addition, she teaches life skills, parenting, and an 8-hour Alcohol/ Drug Information School (ADIS) class for our agency. Janice is a wife and mother of 3 children.
After many life experiences, including nearly 20 years of public service in the military and State government, Jason finally returned to school and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Addiction Studies from the University of Idaho in 2014. Jason chose his most recent path out of a desire to help others based on his own past experiences with drug and alcohol addiction. Although he currently specializes in issues specifically related to substance abuse, Jason is looking forward to furthering his education and training to encompass a wider range of issues, including mental health and family wellness. In his free-time, Jason enjoys spending time with his family and doing anything related to “the great outdoors.” Jason is an also an avid sports fan and has a deep passion for “his” teams! Go Vandals!!!
